Questions & Answers


Q: What can I expect if I hire you to refine my space?

 

Relax and let The Room Restyler guide you.  The consultation is a collaborative process—your thoughts and input are critical as we redecorate your space.  Expect to answer lots of questions as we discuss why you invited us to help and what you wish to gain from our expertise.  The result is a partnership that is both dynamic and personal.  If you have favorite pictures from decorating magazines or books we will enjoy seeing those although it’s not required.


 

Q:  Who moves the furniture and do I need to clean before you come?

 

WE (client and The Room Restyler) move the furniture.  If an item is too large to move, it will have to wait until you can get the extra help.  If needed, you can sweep or vacuum during the consultation; however, The Room Restyler is there to help refine and redecorate.  Removing excess clutter will speed up the decorating process and may avoid having to reschedule.

 


Q:  How long will the
process take?

 

Clear your day as much as possible.  Many consultations take about 3-4 hours but please make arrangements to have the day to yourself—free of children and interruptions—so we might have the luxury of redecorating your space without distraction.  Also, we ask that guests not be invited to observe or participate in your private consultation.  If you have any questions or concerns about this please contact us.


 

Q:  What happens after the consultation?

 

A written design plan, with recommendations, will be given to you at the end of your consultation.  It is up to you if and when you want to pursue these recommendations.  The Room Restyler can continue to help with shopping and other needs – feel free to call and ask.

 


Q:  Tell me more about paint color consulting – how does that work?

 

If hired for an interior refinement, The Room Restyler can give a quick suggestion as to what color families to consider.  For exact paint color options, The Room Restyler can be hired (starting at $75/room) for a complete proposal.  The proposal will provide at least 2 choices for your consideration.
